APCO plans to manage vegetation along the Alum Creek-Sumerco portion of its 12-kilovolt distribution system in Kanawha and Lincoln Counties WV. On or about September 16th 2024 contract crews will begin to trim and remove trees and brush and apply herbicides along our rights-of-way. Work will be done in accordance with International Society of Arboriculture guidelines and consider factors such as tree species growth characteristics line voltage etc. In unmaintained or undeveloped areas cuttings will remain on site to minimize soil disturbance and to promote biodegradation. Rights-of-way in this area involved in the program are: Rt. 214 Coal River Rd. Crooked Cr. Rd. Ballard Rd. Fuquay Cr. Rd.Toms Fork Rd. Coon Br. Rd. Little Coal River Rd. Beechie Fork Rd. McCorkle Rd. Pine Grove Rd. Molly’s Br. Rd. Spring Run Rd.
