Mason County Commission Request for Bid Project Title: Sewer/Water Piping Fixture Replacement Project Overview The Mason County Commission is seeking bids from qualified contractors for the replacement of sewer piping and fixtures at the Mason County Courthouse. The scope of work includes the removal, replacement, and installation of approximately 180 feet of main sewer piping and fittings. Work must be completed in evening shifts to ensure full operational functionality of the sewer system by the start of each day. Scope of Work 1. Piping Replacement Remove and replace approximately 180 feet of main sewer piping and fittings under the main hallway. Demo existing piping nightly, install new piping, and ensure full sewer functionality by each morning. Tie into existing branch lines to maintain system continuity. 2. Materials and Labor The contractor must provide all materials and labor required to complete the replacement of sewer piping, including fittings and fixtures. Include cost estimates for all materials, fittings, and related components in the bid. 3. Daily Operation & Cleanup Ensure the sewer line is operational every day by shift’s end. Provide cleanup and disinfecting of the job site after each shift to maintain hygiene and safety standards. Contractor must supply a dumpster for the disposal of all demo materials and is responsible for disposal costs. 4. Project Schedule Work will be scheduled for evening shifts from Monday to Friday to minimize disruption to daily operations. Completion timeline is estimated based on efficient evening work shifts. 5. Requirements for Bid Submission Bids should include: Itemized cost for labor and materials. Detailed schedule proposal for nightly work, including estimated timeline for completion. Proof of experience with similar sewer and water line replacement projects.
