NOTICE OF PROPOSED CONVEYANCE OF UNITED METHODIST CHURCH PROPERTY (Coal Fork (3 Parcels) United Methodist Church) Notice is hereby given that the Board of Trustees of the West Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church will, on or after November 30, 2024 QUITCLAIM, GRANT and CONVEY to East Vision Properties, LLC all of their right, title and interest in and to those certain lots or parcels of real estate situate in Malden District, Kanawha County, West Virginia, described as follows: PARCEL ONE Beginning at an iron bar in the S. E. corner of Vauhorn Meade’s lot thence with line of said Meade’s lot N. 2 E. 100 feet to an iron pin; thence S. 88 E. 75 feet, to a stake thence S. 2 W. 100 Feet. to an iron pin thence N. 88 W. 75 ft. to the beginning containing 17 1/100 acres. And being the same property conveyed from William D. Lewis and Jennie G. Lewis, his wife, to Trustees of the M. E. Church by Deed dated January 11, 1899 and recorded in the Office of the Clerk of the County Commission of Kanawha County, West Virginia in Deed Book 79, at Page 105, reference to which is hereby made. PARCEL TWO BEGINNING at a post and wire fence, running thence N. 81 W. Two (2) poles and twenty-one (21) links to a stake; thence S. 12 W. Three (3) poles and Seventeen (17) links to a stake near the county road; thence S. 68 31′ E., Three (3) poles to a post in said wire fence; thence running with the line of the said wire fence, N. 10 E. Four (4) poles and Ten (10) links to the place of beginning, containing twelve and one-half (12 1/2) perches, more or less; And being the same property conveyed from Glenna Wills Royse and Homer A. Royse, Jr., to the Trustees of Coal Fork Methodist Church, Kanawha County, by Deed dated June 19, 1967 and recorded in the aforesaid Clerk’s Office in Deed Book 1494, at Page 673, reference to which is hereby made. PARCEL THREE (LOT A) BEGINNING at a stake situate on the southerly right of way line of West Virginia State Route #73 shown as station “2” on the hereinafter described map and S. 16 41′ W. 32.50 feet from the southwest front corner of property owned by the Coal Fork Methodist Church shown as station “l” on said map and a corner to a strip retained by the heirs and successors of Willian D. Lewis; thence leaving the Lewis line and with the southerly right of way line of State Route 73 S. 80 11′ W. 100 feet to station “3”; thence S. 77 49′ W. 100 feet to station “4”; thence S. 74 40′ W. 69.31 feet to the bank of Campbells Creek at station “5”; thence along the north bank of Campbells Creek with the meanders thereof and up said creek S. 86 3l’ E. 264.30 feet to station “6” on the line of the aforesaid Lewis strip; thence with said line N. 0 32′ W. 72.50 feet to the place of beginning, containing 9,581 square feet, more or less. (LOT B) BEGINNING at a stake in the northeast lower corner of property now owned by the Coal Fork Methodist Church shown as station “7” on the said map and S. 2 00′ E. 100 feet from station “1” at the southwest lower corner of the church property and in the line of Leftwich; thence with the said line of Leftwich N. 2 00′ E. 42.00 feet to station “8” and in a line of right of way once used by the Pioneer Railroad, now used as a street; thence leaving Leftwich’s line and with a common corner of the right of way once used by Pioneer Railroad S. 68 30′ E, 79.56 feet to station “9” in a right of way extending from the Pioneer Railroad right of way south to the old county road on the south bank of Campbells Creek as shown on a map of the Joe Dean lot made by J. E. Kendall October 8, 1913; thence with said south right of way line S. 2 00′ W. 17.50 feet to station “10” the upper northeast corner of said church property: thence leaving the south right of way line with a common line of said church property S. 88 00′ W. 75.00 feet to the place of beginning, containing 2,295 square feet, more or less, as shown on a map made by Paul 0. Hamer, entitled “Map Showing Lots in Malden District, Kanawha County, W.Va. To Be Conveyed by the Heirs and Successors of William D. Lewis, Sr. To The Coal Fork Methodist Church (Lots “A” & “B”) Scale 1″=40′ 3-22-65″ And being the same property conveyed from Julia L. Craddock, widow, Elizabeth P. Lewis, widow, Lynn Lewis Glover and Gordon A. Glover and Elise H. Damerel and William A. Damerel to the Trustees of Coal Fork Methodist Church, Kanawha County, by Deed dated July 15, 1965 and recorded in the aforesaid Clerk’s Office in Deed Book 1444, at Page 230, reference to which is hereby made. Said Coal Fork United Methodist Church was declared closed effective on July 1, 2024 by a majority of the District Superintendents of the West Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.
