PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
City of Oak Hill, West Virginia CHARTER AMENDMENT
Notice is hereby given by the City of Oak Hill, West Virginia, that it will hold a public hearing on January 13, 2025, at 6:00 pm in the Council Chamber at Oak Hill City Hall, 100 Kelly Ave., Oak Hill, WV 25901.
The purpose of this public hearing is to discuss the City of Oak Hill’s proposed Charter amendment concerning the City Manager’s residency requirement. Any qualified voter or any freeholder of the city may appear and file objections, in writing, and if no objections are filed, the said amendments shall become operative on January 24, 2025.
If objections are filed and are not withdrawn within 10 days thereafter, the governing body may abandon the proposed amendments to which objections have been filed or may submit the proposed amendments, either as a unit or separately, at the next regular municipal election in June 2027.
Copies of the Charter amendment are available for public inspection at Oak Hill City Hall, Oak Hill, WV, beginning on January 12, 2025 between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. & 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The amendment change will also be available on our website at oakhillwv.gov under the latest news.
