FOR BIDS
Separate, sealed bids for the following projects will be received by the Superintendent of the Belmont-Harrison Vocational School District, 68090 Hammond Road, St. Clairsville, OH 43950 until 1:30PM/EST on TUESDAY, MARCH 4, 2025. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately thereafter in the Office of the Superintendent.

PROJECT #2 / COMM. 3324 REPLACE TRENCH DRAINS BELMONT CAREER CENTER HARRISON CAREER CENTER
The successful bidders will be required to furnish both performance and labor/material payment bonds in the full amount of the contract price, and certificates of comprehensive general liability, automobile liability and worker’s compensation insurances. All bidders must possess a State of Ohio Business License prior to bid.
Bid Documents may be examined at the following Plan Rooms: Builders Exchange, Cleveland, OH; Builders Exchange, Pittsburgh, PA; Ohio Valley Construction Employers Council, Wheeling, WV and Construct Connect, Norcross, GA. A CD containing PDF’s of all bid documents may be obtained through the office of the Architect, Shaeffer & Madama, Inc., 57 Fourteenth Street, Wheeling, WV 26003 upon receipt of a $25.00 non-refundable payment and valid email address.
A certified check or bank draft in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, payable to Belmont- Harrison Vocational School District must be submitted with each bid; or a satisfactory bid bond furnished by a solvent surety company authorized to do business in the State of Ohio in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid. The certified check, bank draft or bid bond shall be forfeited to Belmont-Harrison Vocational School District as a measure of liquidated damages should the bidder fail or refuse to execute the contract within ten (10) days following written notification of acceptance. The bid bond or check of the unsuccessful bidders will be returned when an award is made; that of the successful bidder will be returned when the contract, bonds and insurance requirements are received and approved. After the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids, no bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days.
Completion time is critical to these projects and may be a condition of bid selection. Total completion time for Project #1 Asphalt Crack Fill & and Sealer Project is thirty (30) is consecutive calendar days from the date of Notice to Proceed. Project #2 Replace Trench Drains is forty-five (45) consecutive calendar days from the date of Notice to Proceed.
The Belmont-Harrison Vocational School District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in the bidding. Bids must be marked on the outside of each envelope with all applicable project information. Pre-Bid Meetings are scheduled as follows:
Project #1 Asphalt Crack Fill & Sealer Project: 9:00AM/EST, Wednesday, February 19, 2025.
Project #2 Replace Trench Drains: 10:00AM/EST, Wednesday, February 19, 2025.
Interested parties are to meet at Belmont Career Center, 68090 Hammond Road, St. Clairsville, OH and then proceed to Harrison Career Center, 82500 Jewett Road, Cadiz, OH.
