WEST VIRGINIA INSTALL NAVIGATIONAL AIDS CONTRACT NO. 1 FAA AIP NO. 3-54-0041-016-2025 JANUARY 2025 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed proposals will be received by the Mingo County Airport Authority Southern WV Regional Airport c/o Mingo County Commission 78 East Second Street Room 308-B Williamson West Virginia 25661 until 3:00 P.M. April 16 2025 for the following work: Contract No. 1 – Install Navigational Aids The bid prices shall include the costs for furnishing labor and materials and performing all work set forth in the Advertisement for Bids Information for Bidders Form of Proposal Standard General Conditions of the Construction Contract Supplemental General Conditions and Detail Specifications and Drawings prepared by Chapman Technical Group. Immediately following the scheduled closing time for the reception of bids all proposals which have been submitted in accordance with the required provisions will be publicly opened and read aloud. The work to be bid upon is generally described as follows: Contract No. 1 – Install Navigational Aids The scope of the project is to install new Precision Approach Path Indicators (PAPIs) and Runway End Identifier Lights (REILs) along and at the ends of Runway 8-26 at the Southern West Virginia Regional Airport located outside Varney West Virginia. The installation consists of removing the existing PAPIs and REILs restoration of any damaged wiring etc. The project will also include mobilization and any other appurtenances required for a complete project detailed by the plans and specifications prepared by Chapman Technical Group. Construction Time Limits – The Contractor will be required to achieve Substantial Completion within 120 calendar days and final completion and readiness for final payment within 150 calendar days of the effective date of the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages will be $300.00 per day for each day after the expiration of the construction time.
