PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION OF WEST VIRGINIA CHARLESTON CASE NO. 25-0401-G-GI A proceeding on the Commission’s own motion to initiate a general investigation for the purpose of establishing a task force to make recommendations regarding the Commission Rules for the Government of Gas Utilities and Gas Pipeline Safety NOTICE OF FORMATION OF TASK FORCE On April 24, 2025, the Commission initiated a General Investigation and created the Gas Rules Task Force for the purpose of for the purpose of discussing and proposing amendments to update the Commission Rules for the Government of Gas Utilities and Gas Pipeline Safety 150 C.S.R. 4. The Legal Division Staff shall serve as chair and administrator of the Gas Rules Task Force. In addition, the Commission named Mountaineer Gas Company, Hope Gas Company and Cardinal Natural Gas Company as initial members of the Gas Rules Task Force. The Commission seeks voluntary stakeholder participation from The Gas and Oil Association of West Virginia and the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Office of Oil and Gas and other industry representatives including, but not limited to, EQT Corporation, Diversified Energy Company, and CNX. Anyone desiring to participate on the Gas Rules Task Force should file a notice of participation with the Executive Secretary of the Public Service Commission by Friday, May 9, 2025. Interested parties that do not participate on the Task Force may file comments at any time.
