The City of Charles Town is seeking persons interested in filling the position of Ward 3 and Ward 4 Councilmembers for terms ending in June 2027. Application instructions and a map of the City’s wards can be found on the City’s website (www.charlestownwv.us) under the drop-down menu: GOVERNMENT – MAYOR AND COUNCIL. The primary duties of a Councilmember include attending City Council meetings, proposing and reviewing actions of Council, and serving on committees. A Councilmember is paid $5,000 per year to perform these duties. The City Council generally meets on the first and third Mondays of each month at 7:00PM.
