Notice is hereby given that a public hearing has been scheduled for Monday July 14, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. in the Charles Town City Hall, Council Chambers, 101 E. Washington Street, Charles Town, WV by the City of Charles Town Historic Landmarks Commission on the following matter:
COA2025-08: Request by Alameer Obaid for a Certificate of Appropriateness for a wall sign and a projecting sign at 235 W. Washington St. The property is located at the intersection of W. Washington St. and S. Lawrence St. The property is also identified as Tax Dist. 3, Map 2B, Parcel 12. The property is zoned Old-Town Mixed-Use Commercial.
COA2025-10: Request by Kline Awning and Window for a Certificate of Appropriateness for exterior modifications at 116 E. Liberty St. The property is located approximately 90 feet west of the intersection of W. Liberty and N. Samuel Street. The property is also identified as Tax Dist. 3, Map 2, Parcel 47. The property is zoned Old-Town Mixed-Use Commercial.
COA2025-11: Request by Tim Riley for a Certificate of Appropriateness for window replacements at 120 S. Church St. The property is located at the intersection of S. Church and E. Congress St. The property is also identified as Tax Dist. 3, Map 2, Parcel 107. The property is zoned Old-Town Residential.
COA2025-12: Request by Feeling Stabby LLC for a Certificate of Appropriateness for a projecting sign at 201 N. George St. The property is located at the intersection of N. George and E. Liberty St. The property is also identified as Tax Dist. 3, Map 2A, Parcel 23. The property is zoned Old-Town Mixed-Use Commercial.
FIP2025-02: Request by Ron Widmyer for a Certificate of Appropriateness for a Façade Improvement Grant at 117-119 W. Washington St. The property is located approximately 120 feet east of the intersection of W. Washington and S. Charles St. The property is also identified as Tax Dist. 3, Map 2B. Parcel 33. The property is zoned Old-Town Mixed-Use Commercial.
