ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS City of War 11701 WV-16 War, West Virginia 24892 Separate sealed Bids for the City of War – Post Office Bridge for the City of War , which consists of the Pre-Cast Box culvert installation approximately 21 foot span over War Creek in Warriormine, WV to replace pre-existing timber deck bridge structure at Warriormine Post Office that was washed away during 2022 flood event, will be received by David Deel, Mayor, at the City of War City Hall, 11701 WV- 16, War, West Virginia 24892, until 1:00 P.M., local prevailing time, on September 4, 2025, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. The Contract Documents may be examined at the City of War 11701 WV-16, War, West Virginia 24892; at Thompson & Litton, 1105 Mercer Street, Princeton WV; and online at TRASCO (http://www.trascoplanroom.com). Copies of the Contract Documents (electronic and/or hard copy) are available for purchase through TRASCO at http://www.trascoplanroom.com. A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on August 14, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. All interested parties are required to meet the Engineer at the City of War City Hall, 11701 WV-16, War, West Virginia 24892 at that time. Bids must be accompanied by Bid security as specified in the Instructions to Bidders. MBE/WBE firms are encouraged to submit Bids. The Contract(s) shall be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder(s). The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids if it appears in its best interest to do so. Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A – Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term “iron and steel products” means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and Construction Materials.
