NOTICE OF INTENT BY THE MINGO COUNTY PUBLIC SERVICE DISTRICT TO RAISE RATES, FEES AND CHARGES EXCLUSIVELY FOR THOSE CURRENT CUSTOMERS WHO WERE FORMERLY SERVED BY THE NOW DEFUNCT JUSTICE PUBLIC SERVICE DISTRICT Notice is hereby given that the Mingo County Public Service District on May 20, 2025, has passed on first reading a resolution as to its contemplation of raising rates, fees and charges for furnishing water and sewer services exclusively to approximately 232 of its current customers who were formerly provided those services by the now defunct Justice Public Service District. The Board’s specific intent by initial passage of the aforementioned resolution is to bring the rates, fees and charges for those former Justice Public Service District customers in line and current with the rates, fees and charges paid by those Mingo County Public Service District customers not formerly served by the now defunct Justice Public Service District and, as such, the latter group of customers will not see their bill affected by the above referenced resolution should it ultimately be adopted by the Board. The contemplated increase in rates, fees and charges aforementioned will produce approximately $82,593 in additional revenue annually.
