Be advised that a Petition has been filed in the above-captioned action by the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources alleging that the children who are the subject of this action are abused/neglected children. The object of this action is to obtain an Order granting custody of your minor child to the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources. You have the right to be represented by counsel at all stages of the proceedings in this matter. This action may result in the termination of your parental rights in regard to said children. You should file an answer or other response to this action no later than September 20, 2025.
A copy of the Petition and other pleadings in this case may be obtained from the office of the Circuit Clerk at the Hampshire County Judicial Center in Romney, West Virginia.
Please be further advised that an Adjudication hearing has been scheduled in the above-captioned matter on October 6, 2025 at 10:45 a.m., and you should be present at the aforesaid day and time to protect your interests.
