The County Commission of Jefferson County will hold a Public Hearing regarding a Zoning Map Amendment (rezoning) for the Cochran Properties designated as Tax District: Shepherdstown (07), Map: 5, Parcel: 10.3, 10.4, 10.7, 12.14, 12.15. The properties are vacant lots located between Leetown Road and Charles Town Road in Kearneysville, WV. The property owner of the lot is Four Seas of WV, LLC. The Combined Size is approximately 51.57 acres. The property is currently zoned Rural (R) and a petition has been made to the County Commission by the property owner to change the zoning classification from Rural to Residential / Light-Industrial / Commercial (RLIC) (Planning Commission File #25-3-Z).
The hearing will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at 7:00 pm in the County Commission Meeting Room located on the main level of the Jefferson County Government Complex, 393 N. Lawrence St., Charles Town. This meeting will also be available live through ZOOM. Invites will be posted on Facebook and sent through email alerts.
