NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR BROADBAND CONSULTING SERVICES The Nicholas County Commission located in Nicholas County, West Virginia is in the process of obtaining a qualified engineering Consultant to provide engineering services for the Nicholas County ReConnect funded broadband expansion project. This Nicholas County Broadband Project will expand fiber optic broadband to unserved areas in Nicholas County. Consultants must be able to demonstrate previous experience in the design of aerial and buried fiber routes, pole permitting, WVDOH permitting, development of fiber optic design plans, and construction management of fiber optic projects. All consultants interested in being considered for this project must submit a proposal detailing qualifications, technical expertise, management and staffing capabilities, and related prior experience. The Consultant selection process shall be in compliance with the WV Code 5G. Attention is directed to the fact that funding may be undertaken with the combination of State and Federal funds. All work will be performed in accordance with the regulations issued by the previously referenced agencies and the State of West Virginia appertaining hereto. The selected firm will be required to comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Section 109 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1974, Conflict of Interest Statement and Access to Records provisions. All work performed under this contract must comply with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations, including but not limited to those governing the USDA ReConnect Program. Respondents are advised that additional funding sources may be pursued during the course of the project, and as such, contractors must be prepared to comply with the requirements of any applicable federal programs.
