Request for Quotation
The City of Hinton is requesting bids for the demolition of 4 individual properties within the municipal boundary.
Individuals/firms are invited to submit a quotation to include pricing and qualifications. This must be provided to City Manager Megan Turner no later than September 30, 2025, 4:00 p.m. at City Hall, City of Hinton, 322 Summers Street, Hinton West Virginia 25951.
A review of the physical properties to be demolished may be scheduled upon request.
There will be asbestos inspections in these buildings, and the results will be available on request.
The City of Hinton will evaluate the specifications and pricing submitted and may conduct discussions with individuals/ firms submitting proposals deemed to be the most highly qualified to provide the services required and then rank such proposals in order of preference. The City of Hinton request separate quotes on each property and that each quote be good for six months.
The Quote must be to completely remove the structure to grade, transport all said debris to a qualified landfill, seed and remove any underground utilities and cap the sewer connection.
The City requests separate bids on each property. The properties are: 209 Hill Street, 1310 Walnut Street, 707 Temple Street, 63 Elk Knob Road.
The City of Hinton will award a contract with the individual/firm determined to be the most highly qualified in specifications and pricing. Any bids awarded must begin with "Notice to Proceed" from WVDEP and must be completed within three (3) weeks thereafter."
The City of Hinton reserves the right to reject any bids from individuals/firms and to make the award in any manner deemed by it, in its sole discretion, to be in the interest of the City of Hinton and in accordance with West Virginia State code.
