MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING
Wyoming County Commission will have a mandatory pre-bid meeting at 128 College Drive, Saulsville WV on October 21, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. A complete work packet will be provided at the pre-bid meeting.
The work consists of removing an accumulation of woody and man-made debris or trash on Clear Fork, a tributary of the Guyandotte River near Oceana, West Virginia, and an accumulation of woody and man-made debris or trash and sedimentation on Little Huff Creek, a tributary of the Guyandotte River near Steeles, West Virginia. The stream channels have been blocked due to failed trees which has caught other woody and man-made debris or trash and sedimentation from severe storms that impacted the area on February 15th, 2025. The log jam of materials on Clear Fork has adjusted flow patterns of the stream and is threatening streambanks downstream of a bridge at Crany Missionary Baptist Church, four residences, one church, and outbuildings. The log jam of materials and sedimentation on Little Huff Creek has adjusted flow patterns of the stream and is threatening streambanks upstream of Buffalo Creek bridge, two residences, and outbuildings. The performance time to complete the described work and all subsidiary items is 25 days, which includes weekends and built in weather days. Subsidiary items include Pollution Control, Traffic Control, Removal of Water, Excavation, Earthfill, Rockfill, and Contractor Quality Control.
Bids will be accepted until Tuesday, November 4th, 2025 at 4:00 pm. Bids will be opened at 11:00 am during the Wyoming County Commissions regular scheduled meeting on Wednesday, November 5th, 2025 in the Commission Chambers of the Courthouse Jail/Annex Building.
