Investigation and suspension of increase in water rates and charges as a result of petitions filed in accordance with W.Va. Code 24-2-4b. NOTICE OF HEARING On July 21, 2025, the Town of New Haven adopted an ordinance increasing its rates and charges by approximately 45% to water customers of New Haven. On August 19, 2025, the Commission received a petition of protest apparently signed by not less than 25% of New Haven’s water customers. The matter has been set for hearing on October 27, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., in the New Haven City Hall Council Chambers, 218 5th Street, New Haven, West Virginia. Interested individuals may appear at the hearing and be heard regarding the proposed water rate increase. Rates adopted by the Commission may be less than, the same or more than those adopted by the Town of New Haven. Individuals may also send written comment to the petition on or before October 21, 2025, by mailing that comment to Executive Secretary, P. O. Box 812, Charleston, West Virginia 25323.
