AIR QUALITY PERMIT NOTICE

Notice of Application

Notice is given that Eastern Gas Transmission and
Storage, Inc. (EGTS) has applied to the West Virginia
Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Air
Quality, for modifications to the permit covering the
Lewis Wetzel Compressor Station and other facilities off
Shortline Road near Pine Grove, in Wetzel County,
West Virginia. The latitude and longitude coordinates of
the facility are:

Latitude: 39.54887
Longitude: -80.67167

This application seeks a reduced emissions limit for
carbon monoxide (CO) from the main compressor
engine at the Lewis Wetzel facility. This will result in
potential emissions decreases of 14.62 tons of CO per
year. The goal of this reduced limit is to obtain a
federally enforceable air permit limit that will enable the
affected EGTS facilities to no longer be a “major
source” of air emissions for Title V air permitting
purposes. These facilities are the Lewis Wetzel and
Mockingbird Hill Compressor Stations and the Carnegie
Warehouse Heater.

The application also seeks to consolidate permits and
remove obsolete permit conditions where applicable.
The current permits include provisions for emissions
units that are no longer in operation as well as
emissions units that were not constructed.

Written comments will be received by the West Virginia
Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Air
Quality, 601 57th Street, SE, Charleston, WV 25304, for
at least 30 calendar days from the date of publication of
this notice. Written comments will also be received via
email at [email protected].

Any questions regarding this permit application should
be directed to the DAQ at (304) 926-0499, extension
41281, during normal business hours.

Dated this the 30th day of October 2025.
