INVITATION TO
SUBMIT BID
WHEELING ISLAND TREE MAINTENANCE AND REMOVAL
The Ohio County Commission (the “Commission”) will receive sealed bids until 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 4th , 2025 in Suite 150 at the Ohio County Extension Office, 300 Warton Circle, Wheeling, West Virginia, after which bids will immediately be opened and read aloud in the conference for the following project being undertaken at the request of the Commission: WHEELING ISLAND TREE MAINTENANCE AND REMOVAL consisting of General Contracts for each in which the Contractor will furnish all permits, labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and services necessary for and incidental to the removal and pruning of groups of selected trees as described and identified in the bid documents. by 2:00 PM on December 1st. Bidders are advised that for this project, each bid must be accompanied by either a certified check payable to the Commission in the amount of 5% of the total bid or a Bid Bond in the same amount. Each entity submitting a bid for any portion of the work shall include their West Virginia Contractor’s License number and shall provide a current copy of their West Virginia Contractor’s License. The successful Contractor and Subcontractors must comply with all rules and Regulations of the West Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission and must be able to provide proof of general liability and automobile liability insurance that meets the minimum requirements as found in the Project Manual. The Ohio County Commission reserves the right to delete any or all portions of the Bid, waive any informalities or minor defects, and reject any or all bids. This project is funded by the USDA Forest Service.
