PUBLIC NOTICE OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE RELATING TO WATER RATES, FEES AND CHARGES Notice is hereby given that on the 16th day of December, 2025, the City Council of the City of Stonewood, in order to provide sufficient revenues to pay the daily expenses associated with the operation of its water system, provide working capital reserves as required by Chapter 24 of the West Virginia Code, and provide revenues to meet debt service obligations, caused to be read and is proposing the adoption of, an Ordinance setting forth an increase in rates, fees and charges for furnishing service to its water customers in Harrison County, West Virginia. Said rates, fees and charges will replace the City’s current water rates and charges which have been in effect since July 5, 2023, as contained in its Tariff No. 18 currently on file with the Public Service Commission of West Virginia and will be placed into effect 45 days after the adoption of the Ordinance. The proposed Ordinance is titled: AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING AND FIXING RATES, FEES, AND CHARGES FOR SERVICE TO CUSTOMERS OF THE WATER SYSTEM OF THE CITY OF STONEWOOD The final vote by the City Council on the adoption of said proposed ordinance will be held following a public hearing at the 6th day of January, 2026, 7:00 p.m. City Council meeting. Interested parties may appear at the hearing and present protests, if any, with respect to the proposed Ordinance. A copy of the proposed Ordinance is available for public inspection at the City Clerk’s office located at 8052 Southern Ave, Clarksburg, WV 26301. The office is open to the public Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
