The purpose of this action is to obtain the forfeiture of the property below described. Any claimant to the property must file a claim in writing with the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Jefferson County, West Virginia on or before the 12th day of January, 2026, and serve a true copy on Neil Zahradnik, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney of Jefferson County, West Virginia.

In addition, any claimant must file an additional written notice stating you wish to contest the forfeiture within 30 days. Any claim filed must clearly state the identity of the claimant and address where legal process can be served upon the claimant. The property seized and sought to be forfeited in this action is: Five Thousand One Hundred Two Dollars and Sixty-Five Cents ($5,102.65).

“The Confiscated property is subject to administrative forfeiture unless you provide written notice, within 30 days of receipt of this notice that you wish to contest the forfeiture. If you fail to provide a notice to the Prosecuting Attorney, you will immediately and forever lose all right, claim, title and interest to the confiscated items, and it will be disposed of according to law.”

Court of Jefferson County.  Notice is further given that an Adjudication Hearing in this case is

scheduled for Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the Jefferson County Judicial Center, located at 110 North George Street, Charles Town, West Virginia, to determine the issues alleged in the petition and the possible termination of parental rights in and to said children.

The Jefferson County Commission, in accordance with WV Code §8A-4-5,  has scheduled a Public Hearing on the proposed text amendments to the Jefferson County Subdivision and Land Development Regulations and the Zoning and Land Development Ordinance:

1. File #STA25-03 & ZTA25-03. STA25-03 is a proposed text amendment to Section 20.201, Section 20.203C, Section 21.105C, Section 22.208A, Section 22.208B, and Appendix B, Division 5.1 of the Subdivision Regulations. ZTA25-03 is a proposed text amendment to the Table of Contents, Article 2, Section 4.10B, Section 5.1, Section 5.5, Section 5.7, Section 6.3, Section 8.14, Section 9.5, Section 10.5, Section 11.2, Appendix A, Appendix B, and Appendix C of the Zoning Ordinance. The purpose of these amendments are to establish and create the necessary criteria regarding the proposed Rural Residential Zoning District.

2. File #STA25-04 & ZTA25-04. STA25-04 is a proposed text amendment to Section 21.105 and Section 22.208B of the Subdivision Regulations.
