ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS The Preston County Commission will receive sealed bids at the County Commission Office at 106 West Main St, Suite 202 Kingwood, WV 26537 for demolition of the Former Extension Office building located at 115 West Court St Kingwood, WV 26537 for the Preston County Commission until Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at 9:00 am. Bids will be publicly opened and read at 9:30 am on Wednesday, February 11 in the County Commission Meeting Room. Bids should be submitted in sealed envelopes plainly marked “Abatement and Demolition of 115 West Court Street Kingwood, WV”. Bid forms and specifications are on file for the inspection of bidders at the Preston County Commission Offices at 106 West Main St, Suite 202 Kingwood, WV 26537 and copies may be obtained by qualified bidders. Sealed proposals must be submitted on the bid forms furnished by the County. Bids are being solicited from responsible and established bidders known to be experienced and regularly engaged in the work of abatement and demolition. Satisfactory evidence that the bidder has the necessary capital, equipment and personnel to do the work may be required. This project is financed through the Preston County Commission. The Preston County Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any formalities therein. There will be mandatory pre-bid conference on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at 1pm.
