The Town of Whitesville will be holding public auctions for multiple properties. Whitesville Town Council members would like to offer these properties to any individuals or businesses who would be able to help provide economic development in Whitesville, and reduce the financial burden currently on the Town. The public auction will take place on February 12th, 2026. The auction ill be held at Whitesville Town Hall, 39349 Coal River Road, Whitesville, WV 25209. Bidder registration begins at 4:00 p.m. The auction begins at 5:00 p.m. Regularly scheduled Town Council meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. Notice is hereby given that the following real properties will be offered for public auction to the highest qualified bidder, subject to the express requirements of the terms of sale set forth herein: BY ORDER OF: Town of Whitesville Ordinance W-42 Property Description #1: A Four-story Commercial Building located at 39349 Coal River Road, Whitesville, WV 25209. Currently serving as Whitesville Town Hall and previously as Valley Funeral Home. Property described as Seven-Eighths of Lot number 31 of Prichard City, Block “B” Hudson Subdivision. By Deed dated April 7th, 2017 and recorded in Deed Book 304, Page 454-457 in the records of Boone County, WV. Terms of Sale: Property will be sold “AS IS, WHERE IS” with no warranties expressed or implied. Reserve amount of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) must be met. The successful bidder must provide a ten percent (10%) deposit in the form of cash or personal check at the time of sale. If payment is made by personal check and the check is dishonored, a return check fee will be assessed, along with any costs related to reprinting the notice. The remaining balance shall be due within thirty (30) days of auction date. As a condition of sale, the successful bidder must submit a written business plan at the time of the auction demonstrating a feasible proposal intended to promote economic development and public benefit within the Town of Whitesville. The Town of Whitesville shall have ten (10) days following the auction to review the submitted business plan and determine approval. If the business plan is rejected, the Town may either (1) reject the bid and return the deposit in full, OR (2) allow the bidder an opportunity to submit a revised plan for reconsideration. If the business plan is approved, closing shall occur within thirty (30) days of the auction date, when the remaining balance is due. By Deed dated April 7th, 2017 and recorded in Book 304 Pages 430-431 in the records of Boone County WV. Terms of Sale: Property will be sold “AS IS, WHERE IS” with no warranties or representations, expressed or implied. A minimum reserve amount of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) must be met. The successful bidder must provide a ten percent (10%) deposit in the form of cash or personal check at the time of sale. Terms of Sale: Property will be sold “AS IS, WHERE IS” with no warranties or representations, expressed or implied. A minimum reserve amount of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) must be met. The successful bidder must provide a ten percent (10%) deposit in the form of cash or personal check at the time of sale. If payment is made by personal check and the check is dishonored, a return check fee will be assessed, along with any costs related to reprinting the notice. The remaining balance shall be due within thirty (30) days of auction date.
