Notice is hereby given that Prime Met, Inc., 838 Euclid Avenue, Suite 403, Lexington, KY 40502 has submitted an application to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), Division of Mining and Reclamation (DMR) located at 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV 25840 for an Article 3 permit for the surface disturbance of approximately 110.20 acres in order to Surface mine and auger or highwall mine in the Douglass—-Kanawha; Glen Alum Tunnel—Kanawha; War Eagle – M—Kanawha seams of coal.
The proposed operation is discharging into Unnamed tributaries of Maple Meadow Creek, a tributary to Marsh Fork, a tributary to the Big Coal River, a tributary to the Coal River, a tributary to the Kanawha River of Kanawha River and is located 2.6 miles, Northeast of Glen Rogers in Slab Fork of Raleigh County, Longitude 81° 23' 30" and Latitude 37° 44' 54".
