GALLIA COUNTY ENGINEER 2026 ROADSIDE MOWING PROGRAM NOTICE TO BIDDERS Sealed proposals will be received by the Gallia County Engineer at the office of the Gallia County Commissioners, 18 Locust Street, Room 1292, Gallipolis, Ohio, until 10:30 AM Thursday, April 2nd, 2026, and then at 10:30 AM at said office opened and read aloud: THURSDAY, APRIL 2nd, 2026 AT 10:30 A.M. for the following: Roadside Mowing Program for 453.5 miles of county roads during the year of 2026, for the maintenance of Gallia County’s Highways according to specifications on file in the Gallia County Engineer’s Office. Bids will be for furnishing labor, equipment, and necessary materials to perform the work. Sections may be bid individually or in combination. Specifications, bid forms, and map are available at the Gallia County Engineers Office, 1167 State Route 160, Gallipolis, Ohio 45631, between the hours of 7:00 am and 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Each bid must be accompanied by either a bid bond in an amount of 100% of the bid amount with a surety satisfactory to the aforesaid Gallia County or by certified check, cashier’s check or letter of credit upon a solvent bank in an amount of not less than 10% of the bid amount in favor of the aforesaid Gallia County. Bid Bonds shall be accompanied by Proof of Authority of the official or agent signing the bond. Bids shall be sealed and marked as “BID FOR 2026 GALLIA COUNTY ROADSIDE MOWING PROGRAM” and mailed or delivered to: Gallia County Commissioners Office, 18 Locust Street, Room 1292 Gallipolis, Ohio 45631. The Gallia County Engineer reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities in the bidding and to award the contract to the bidder who in their consideration offered the lowest and/or best proposal. Attention of bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in the bid packet, various insurance requirements, federal prevailing wage requirements, various equal opportunity provisions, and the requirement for a payment bond and performance bond of 100% of the contract price. No bidder may withdraw his bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Gallia County reserves the right to waive any informalities or reject any or all bids.
