ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS VALLEY PARK PARKING IMPROVEMENTS To Whom It May Concern: Sealed proposals for Valley Park Parking Improvements will be received by the Offices of the Putnam County Commission at 12093 Winfield Road, Winfield, WV 25213, until 4:00pm local prevailing time on April 28, 2026, at which time and place all accepted bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. After opening, the bids will be compared as to quality, thoroughness and cost by the Owner and GAI Consultants, Inc. Bids are being solicited for all the Work on the Project. The Work of this Project includes the following general elements: Selective demolition of parking lot islands and curbs. Construction of a new parking lot entrance and parking spaces. Construction of sidewalk segment. All other improvements as identified in the plans and specifications A MANDATORY pre-bid meeting will be held on April 14, 2026 at 10:00 am at Putnam County Parks and Recreation Commission Office located at #1 Valley Park Drive, Hurricane, West Virginia 25526. All prime bidders must attend the pre-bid meeting to familiarize themselves with the project location, site conditions, and other relevant information. A site visit and walkthrough will be held immediately after the pre-bid meeting for those wishing to familiarize themselves with the site. Hardcopies may be obtained from Charleston Blueprint (304-343-1063) by general contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers and dealers by paying the actual cost of printing and binding and mailing however such cost or nonrefundable. Bidding documents may also be examined at the viewing depositories listed in the Bidding Documents. A certified check or a satisfactory Bid Bond furnished by a solvent surety company authorized to do business in the State of West Virginia in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid must be submitted with each bid. The successful Bidder will be required to execute a contract and provide a Performance and a Labor and Material Payment Bond for 100% of the contract sum within 10 days of the contract award. All General Contractors shall include their license number in the space provided on the Bid Form and be licensed in the State of West Virginia prior to submitting a bid in accordance with Chapter 30, Article 42, of the WV Code. All subcontractors shall provide their contractor's license numbers prior to the award of the contract. All General Contractors shall attach a signed Putnam County Alcohol & Drug-Free Workplace Affidavit and Putnam County Purchasing Affidavit to their Bid Proposal.
