PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

MARTINSBURG BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS

In accordance with Chapter 8A, Article 8, Section 11 of the Code of West Virginia 2004, as amended, the Martinsburg Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a public hearing to consider the public comment on the following:

VARIANCE: The property is located at 519 S. Spring St and identified on Berkeley County Tax Map 18 as Parcel 126.1. The applicant is requesting a Variance pursuant to Martinsburg Zoning Ordinance Section 3.04 Fig 3-2 F.1 to allow for front parking in UR-3. Case #2026-27-V. Michael Cardello, Appellant.

SPECIAL EXCEPTION: The property is located at 247 E Liberty St and identified on Berkeley County Tax Map 11 as Parcel 61.1. The applicant is requesting a Special Exception pursuant to Martinsburg Zoning Ordinance Table 4.01. to allow for a MultiFamily Dwelling in UR-3. Case #2026-30-SE. Sheldon Everhart, Appellant.

SPECIAL EXCEPTION: The property is located at 249 E Liberty St and identified on Berkeley County Tax Map 11 as Parcel 61. The applicant is requesting a Special Exception pursuant to Martinsburg Zoning Ordinance Table 4.01. to allow for a MultiFamily Dwelling in UR-3. Case #2026-31-SE. Sheldon Everhart, Appellant.

A hearing will be held on the proposed variance and special exceptions on Tuesday, May 5th, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. in the J. Oakley Seibert Council Chambers at City Hall, 232 N. Queen St, Martinsburg, West Virginia. In the event that an unforeseen circumstance would cause the Board of Zoning Appeals to cancel the scheduled meeting, a back-up public hearing date of Tuesday, May 19th, 2026, will be utilized. Applications are on file in the City Planner’s Office at 232 N. Queen St.
