NOTICE OF PUBLICATION
The purpose of this Notice of Publication is to give notice to the putative father, as named in the Petition, that a Petition for Adoption has been filed by the Petitioners in the Circuit Court of Berkeley County, West Virginia. The object of the above proceeding is to obtain an adoption for Amelia Mercedes Butler. The disposition of this matter will result in the termination of the putative father’s parental rights to the child and name change for the said infant child. It appearing that the address and whereabouts of the said putative father are unknown to the Petitioners.
It is so ORDERED that the said Respondent is hereby notified that a hearing regarding said Petition is scheduled for June 1, 2026, at 1:00 o’clock p.m. before the Honorable Laura Faircloth, Judge, Circuit Court of Berkeley County, West Virginia, and that should Respondent fail to appear at said hearing, judgment will be granted in favor of the Petitioners.
A copy of said Petition can be obtained from the undersigned Clerk at the office of the Circuit Clerk located at 380 W. South Street, Martinsburg, West Virginia.
