Request for Quotation (RFQ) and Invitation to Bid for Mowing Services The Preston County Board of Education will be receiving sealed bids until 10:00 AM on Monday, April 20, 2026 for mowing grass, trimming, and weed eating all common areas at the following locations: Schools: Aurora, Bruceton, Fellowsville (temporary), Kingwood Elementary, Preston High, Rowlesburg, South Preston, Terra Alta/East Preston, Central Preston, and West Preston. The successful company will mow all the grounds of campuses (as awarded) operated by the Preston County Board of Education. The grounds will be mowed on average (3) times per month in the warm weather months (approximately May – November 2026) unless it is determined by the Preston County Schools Maintenance Department that mowing is not needed. Contract may be extended into the Spring of 2027 as needed until contracts are re-bid. Contractors may submit bids for individual locations, for all locations, and/or for both options. Assessment rubric will award priority points for vendors submitting bids for all locations. The successful company will provide a valid business license and documentation of $1,000,000 dollars in liability insurance with worker’s compensation coverage. The successful vendor will submit all required vendor registation forms with all forms available in the bid packet or at the RFQ link listed below. An optional pre-bid meeting will be held at the Preston County Schools Board of Education Offices on Monday, April 13, 2026 at 9 AM to provide an opportunity for a question and answer session with county officials and to provide bid packets to prospective vendors.
