Notice is hereby given that MID-VOL COAL SALES, INC., 640 CLOVER DEW DAIRY RD, PRINCETON, WV 24739 has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), for the surface mining of approximately 519.82 acres and has submitted an application to the DEP, 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV 25840, for renewal of Article 3 permit Number S401096 to Operate and Maintain a Coal Surface Mine in the Pocahontas No. 13, Pocahontas No. 12, Pocahontas No. 12-1, Pocahontas No. 11, Pocahontas No. 10, Lower Horsepen, Pocahontas No. 9 and all associated splits and riders thereof seam of coal.
The operation is discharging into Unnamed Tributaries of/and Harmon Branch, Unnamed Tributaries of/and Leslie Branch, Unnamed Tributaries of/and Elkhorn Creek, Unnamed Tributaries of/and Coalbank Branch of Elkhorn Creek of Tug Fork River and is located 2.0 miles, Southwest of ECKMAN in ADKIN/BROWNS CK District of McDowell County, Longitude 81° 29' 0" and Latitude 37° 23' 14".
