2026-2027 Bituminous Asphalt (Plant Mix)
The Board of Supervisors of Tazewell County Virginia will be accepting sealed bids from qualified contractors to perform asphalt overlay paving with Bituminous Asphalt (Plant Mix) on various County maintained roads.
All those interested in bidding on the Bituminous Asphalt Overlay Schedule must attend a mandatory pre-bid conference meeting scheduled for 2:00 pm on May 29, 2026 in the Tazewell County Court House, 135 Court St, Suite 318, Tazewell, Virginia, 24651. A package containing additional information, including road lists, quantities, and locations will be handed out at that time.
Bids must be received no later than 2:00 pm on June 16, 2026 at which time the bids will be opened in the Tazewell County Engineer's office. The envelope must be clearly marked "Plant Mix Bid" and addressed to Kenneth Dunford Jr. Director of Engineering 135 Court St, Suite 318, Tazewell VA 24651. Questions concerning the bid or pre-bid conference will be responded to by emailing [email protected]. The Tazewell County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to waive any informality, to reject any and all bids if it appears in Tazewell County's best interest to do so, and accept only that bid deemed to be in the best interest of Tazewell County, Virginia.
