The City of Ranson is seeking applicants for Two (2) opening on the Building Code Appeals Board. For the terms of Current ending December 31, 2028. The Building Code Appeals Board assists the city in considering appeals of decisions made by Ranson building officials and other matters related to Ranson building code enforcement. To be eligible for appointment, applicants must meet the following criteria: Must be a qualified resident of the City of Ranson. The City of Ranson is accepting applications for Two (2) opening on its Board of Zoning Appeals with a term of Current – December 31, 2029. The Board of Zoning Appeals is responsible for hearing and deciding appeals from any order, requirement, decision, or determination of the city’s zoning code and its administration. The existing swing set will be removed and replaced with an expanded swing area featuring ADA-accessible and inclusive swings.

NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST (EOI)

ARCHITECTURAL & ENGINEERING SERVICES

The City of Ranson, located in Jefferson County, West Virginia, is seeking qualified architectural and engineering firms to submit Expressions of Interest (EOI) for professional services related to the planning and preliminary design of a new Police Department and Public Safety Facility. The proposed facility will be located on City-owned property along Mildred Street and is intended to support both current operations and the City’s long-term public safety needs.

Services to be provided include but are not limited to: site evaluation; space needs assessment; operational programming; development of conceptual and schematic design options; incorporation of emergency management and resiliency considerations; and preparation of preliminary construction cost estimates.

Procurement of these services will be conducted in accordance with West Virginia Code §5G-1-1 et seq. using a qualifications-based selection (QBS) process. Fees will be negotiated with the top-ranked firm following selection.
