The City of Mannington is currently accepting sealed bids for the paving of multiple city streets. The project will be done according to WV DOH specifications for performance and material with composition requirements. The City will clean the specified streets and remove pre-emergent plants. The project will consist of two inches of compacted wearing asphalt. All tie-ins are to be milled and blended in. The contractor is to provide all necessary materials, labor and equipment. A pre-bid meeting will be held on June 9, 2026 at 10:00 am at city hall so that all contractors can be shown the streets/lots to be paved and to answer any questions. Work is not to begin before July 01, 2026 and must be completed on or before November 13, 2026. Insurance, bonding and city license will be required. For a complete list of the streets to be paved, interested contractors should contact Ted Nice at 304-365-3733. The sealed bids must be submitted by 4:00 p.m. on June 15, 2026. No faxes will be accepted. The bids will be opened that evening during the regular council meeting. The City of Mannington reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
