FOR BIDS
The City of Wheeling: Owner.
Sealed bids for Abatement and Demolition of the TCI Building at 2184 National Rd will be received by the City of Wheeling, West Virginia, at the office of the City Manager until 2:30 PM, July 1, 2026 and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. The Information for Bidders, Plans, Specifications, Drawings, and Forms of Bid Bond, Performance Bond and Payment Bond, and other contract documents may be examined at the following:
Ohio Valley Construction Employers Council in Wheeling, WV; and at the Office of the City Engineer, City-County Building, Wheel ing, WV 26003.
Bidding Documents may be obtained only upon payment of $25.00 with the City of Wheeling for each set obtained from the Office of the City Engineer, City-County Building, Wheel ing, WV 26003. The deposit is non-refundable. The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 90 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. This contract is also subject to the requirements of the West Virginia Contractor Licensing Act, Chapter 21, Article 11 of the Code of West Virginia. Contractor must be licensed in accordance with the Act at the time of the Bid.
THE PROCUREMENT REGULATIONS AT 2 CFR 200.321 STATES:
WHEN POSSIBLE, RECIPIENTS SHOULD ENSURE THAT SMALL BUSINESSES, MINORITY BUSINESSES, WOMEN’S BUSINESS ENTERPRISES, VETERAN-OWNED BUSINESSES, AND LABOR SURPLUS AREA FIRMS (SEE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF LABOR’S LIST) ARE CONSIDERED.
