PUBLIC NOTICE
The first reading of the following ordinances took place at a Regular Meeting of Weirton City Council on Tuesday, June 9, 2026. The second reading is scheduled to take place on Monday, July 13, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., in the Weirton City Council Chambers, 200 Municipal Plaza, Weirton, West Virginia 26062, during the Regular Meeting of Council. Interested parties may appear and make public comment on the ordinances at the Regular City Council Meeting on Monday, July 13, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. Copies of the ordinances can be obtained by contacting the Weirton City Clerk’s Office at 304-797-8500 x1045. Ordinance No. 2280 to Amend Article Section 972.05 “Mandatory Recycling” in the Codified Ordinances of the City of Weirton. Ordinance No. 22 81 to Amend the Traffic Control Map, Ordinance No. 214, to establish no parking on the south side of Gullette Lane for a distance of 230 feet beginning at Freedom Way. Ordinance No. 2282 to Amend § 351.11 “Fixed Fines for Certain Parking Violations” of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Weirton to (1) Establish a fixed fine for unauthorized use of Purple Heart designated parking spaces, (2) Update the fixed-fine schedule for certain parking violations, and (3) Amend references to “handicap” parking within the Code to “accessible” parking.
