ADMINISTRATIVE FORFEITURE NOTICE
The object of the above-captioned action is property which was seized, and which is the subject of this Petition for Forfeiture under the West Virginia Contraband Forfeiture Act, WV Code Section 60 A-7-701 through Section 60 A-7-707.
Notice is hereby given to any claimant to the property of their right to file a claim to the property on or before August 5, 2026. Any claim MUST clearly state the identity of the claimant and an address where legal process can be served upon that person.
The property of $821 in U.S. currency was seized on March 24, 2026, at approximately 3:00 p.m., by Detective Matt Beatty of the Hancock-Brooke-Weirton Drug Task Force, from Novelty Plus, 1432 Pennsylvania Avenue, Weirton, Hancock County, West Virginia, 26062.
The presumptive owner of the subject property is Regis Molyneaux, of Weirton, WV.
Prayer for an Order directing forfeiture of the seized property to the State and vesting ownership of such property in the State shall be requested of the Court.
To any claimant: The confiscated money is subject to administrative forfeiture unless you provide a written notice, within thirty days of receipt of this notice, that you wish to contest this forfeiture. If you fail to provide a notice to the prosecuting attorney, you will immediately and forever lose all right, claim, title and interest to the confiscated money, and it will be disposed of according to law.
Notice is hereby further given to any claimant that a copy of the petition for Forfeiture under the West Virginia Contraband Forfeiture Act, WV Code Section 60 A-7-701 through Section 60 A-7-707, inclusive, can be obtained from the Hancock County Circuit Clerk at the Clerk’s office located in the Hancock County Courthouse, 102 Court Street, New Cumberland, West Virginia.
