M. C. TARIFF FORM NO. 10 NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO CHANGE RATES (MC TARIFF RULE 19-A) A & W SANITATION, INC. CASE NO. 26-0303-MC-19A On February 25, 2026, A & W Sanitation, Inc., filed a Rule 19-A application requesting an increase in its rates and charges for providing solid waste disposal services under P.S.C. M.C. Certificate Nos. F-4651; F-4661 and F-7007 and M. C. Permit No. H-10273. The area served included parts of Fayette and Nicholas Counties, as well as, the towns of Pratt and Glasgow in Kanawha County. Commission Staff has reviewed the application and has recommended an increase of 26.14% in rates and charges for the Applicant for providing solid waste disposal services. The present and Staff-recommended rates and charges are as follows: Current Rate for Residential Service: $18.63 per month Staff Recommended Rate for Residential Service: $23.50 per month Any person affected by the Staff-recommended rate change has the right to protest or to be heard as to why the changes should not be allowed, either wholly or in part. Anyone desiring to protest the Staff-recommended increased rates and charges must do so, in writing, within ten (10) days after the publication of this notice. All protests should be addressed to the Executive Secretary of the Public Service Commission of West Virginia, P.O. Box 812, Charleston, West Virginia 25323. To help the Commission determine the justification for additional review and investigation, protests must be specific as to the reasons that the changed rates and charges should not be approved. In addition, anyone desiring a hearing in this matter must demand a hearing in the letter of protest.
