New Treehouses, Grand Vue Park, Moundsville, WV
The Marshall County Park and Recreation Board is soliciting bids from qualified Prime Contractors for the work described as follows:
The work consists of constructing four treehouses and associated site work to be located along a dedicated ridgeline at Grand Vue Park, Moundsville, WV. Each treehouse will be elevated on a structural steel platform that will support the enclosed living space as well as the outdoor deck area. They will consist of two configurations: two one-bedroom treehouses of approximately 650 SF of enclosed space and two two-bedroom treehouses of approximately 860 SF of enclosed space. The enclosed space will be post and beam construction with wood frame interior walls, fiber cement exterior siding and a single slope standing seam metal roof. Some site development work has been completed to include gravel roadway, primary utility extensions, and tree removal. New site work will consist of paving, sidewalks, lighting, landscaping and gangway connections to the treehouse. Work is to be substantially complete by August 5, 2016.
A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference, for Prime Contractors only, has been scheduled for February 10, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Park Office at Grand Vue Park.
All Bidders are required to be licensed to perform work in West Virginia and must be registered with the WV Department of Tax and Revenue prior to submitting a Bid. Each Bidder’s Contractor license number and registration certificate shall be written in the space provided on the Form of Proposal.
Bids will include a Bid Bond furnished by a solvent surety company authorized to do business in the State of West Virginia, in the amount equal to five percent (5{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c}) of the total amount of Bid, payable to the Marshall County Park and Recreation Board. The successful Bidder will then be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond.
Marshall County Park and Recreation Board, operating as Grand Vue Park, is a recognized tax-exempt 501(c) (6) nonprofit organization. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids. No Bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of Bids for at least thirty (30) days.
