PUBLIC NOTICE OF CHANGE IN RATES WITH PROPOSED EFFECTIVE DATES

NOTICE is hereby given that Greenbrier County Public Service District No. 2, a public utility, has filed with the PUBLIC SERVICE COMM-ISSION OF WEST VIRGINIA, a tariff containing increased rates, tolls and charges for furnishing sewer service to approximately 2,494 customers in Greenbrier County’s Meadow Bluff District, including the communities of Rainelle, Rupert, and Quinwood, in the county of Greenbrier.
The proposed increased rates and charges will become effective March 10, 2016, unless otherwise ordered by the Public Service Commission and will produce approximately $187,750.00 annually in additional revenue, an increase of approximately 15.1{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c}. The average monthly bill for the various classes of customers will be changed as follows:

The increase shown is based on averages of all customers in the indicated class. Individual customers may receive increases that are greater or less than average. Furthermore, the requested rates and charges are only a proposal and are subject to change (increases or decreases) by the Public Service Commission in its review of this filing. Any increase in rates and charges will not become effective until authorized and approved by the Public Service Commission.
The District also proposes to amend its tariff to include the following new charge:
The District may install a slice valve to provide sewer service. Whenever the District terminates service for non-payment of bills, it may do so using the slice valve. If service is terminated using the slice valve and later reconnected, a reconnection fee of $50.00 shall be charged.
Anyone desiring to protest or intervene should file a written protest or petition to intervene prior to March 10, 2016, unless otherwise modified by Commission order. Failure to timely protest or intervene can affect your rights to protest any rate increases and to participate in future proceedings. All protests or requests to intervene should briefly state the reason for the protest or intervention. Requests to intervene must comply with the Commission’s rules on intervention.
