Wheeling National Heritage Area will be receiving bids from contractors registered in the State of West Virginia for Phase 2: Structural Roof Repairs at The Blue Church, 1206 Byron Street, Wheeling, WV. Please email Stephanie Wright at:

for more information about procuring bid documents. All bids must be received no later than 4:00pm May 11, 2016 and can be sent to Wheeling National Heritage Area, PO Box 350, Wheeling WV 26003.
The project completion date is no later than June 30, 2016 and will be reviewed by the West Virginia State Historic Preservation Office. Contractors will be selected based upon (1) cost, (2) experience with similar historic preservation projects, and (3) proven ability to complete a project. The contractor must carry out the described work in compliance with the Secretary of Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation. The property will be open for a mandatory pre-bid meeting on May 2, 2016, 11am, at the church. If further directions to the site are needed, call Wheeling Heritage’s office at 304-232-3087.
Partial funds for this project are through the WV State Historic Preservation Office. All applicable federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations apply.
The Wheeling National Heritage Area Corporation reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, to negotiate with the lowest qualified bidder and to waive any informality in a bid or to reject an informal bid if necessary.
