NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Ohio Valley Regional Transportation Authority Transit Tire Leasing –
Project No. TTL16-06-06
The Ohio Valley Regional Transportation Authority (OVRTA) is seeking transit tire leasing bids for the vehicles in the fleet that utilize a size 275/70R 22.5 or a size 245/70R 19.5 radial tire as well as a winter retreads for a five year period beginning July1, 2016 and expiring on June 30, 2021. This requested tire lease bid shall meet all existing federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations.
Notice is hereby given that the Executive Director of the OVRTA will receive sealed bids until 11:00 a.m., local time, Monday, June 6, 2016 in the system’s office at 21 South Huron Street, Wheeling, WV 26003 for the above project. Bids at that time and place will be promptly and publicly opened, read aloud, and recorded as per OVRTA bid procedures. Any bids received after the time and date referred to above will not be considered and will be returned unopened to the bidder. All bids must be in writing, and must be in a sealed envelope plainly marked upon the outside “TRANSIT TIRE LEASING BID – PROJECT NO. TTL16-06-06” Sealed bids submitted must be in accordance with the bid specification package, copies of which may be obtained by contacting the Executive Director at 304-232-2190. All bids shall be subject to all applicable state and federal laws, subject to approval of financial assistance contract between the OVRTA and the Federal Transit Administration, and in compliance with all applicable Equal Employment Opportunity laws and regulations. The OVRTA hereby notifies all bidders that in regard to any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, Disadvantaged Bussiness Enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation to bid, and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, age, or national origin in consideration of the award. Any name appearing on the Comptroller General’s list of ineligible contractors is not an eligible contractors is not an eligible bidder. The OVRTA reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in the bidding as it deems in its best interest. The award of the contract will be made on the basis of the lowest responsive and reasponsible bidder as selected by the OVRTA.
