ADVERTISEMENT Notice is hereby given that Pocahontas Coal Company LLC, 109 Appalachian Drive, Beckley, WV 25801 has submitted an application to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), Division of Mining and Reclamation (DMR) located at 254 Industrial Drive, Oak Hill, WV 25901, for an Article 3 permit for the surface disturbance of approximately 60.90 acres in order to operate and maintain a coal refuse disposal facility, within 100 feet of Raleigh County Route 12/9, Mile 0.45 to Mile 0.54 (a public hearing may be requested), in the Pocahontas 3 – Pocahontas seam of coal. The proposed operation is discharging into Unnamed Tributaries of/and Soak Creek of Piney Creek of New River of Kanawha River and is located 0.4 miles southeast of Midway in Town and Slab Fork District of Raleigh County, Longitude 81 f 14′ 02″ and Latitude 37 f 42′ 38″.
