ADVERTISEMENT Notice is hereby given that POCAHONTAS COAL COMPANY, LLC, 109 Appalachian Drive, Beckley, WV 25801 has submitted an application to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), 254 Industrial Drive, Oak Hill, WV 25901 for a significant permit revision to Article 3 permit number U015282 in order to revise the approved underground mining limits to add approximately 1,595 acres of additional mining area in the Pocahontas No. 3 seam. The revised permit will discharge into Soak Creek of Piney Creek of New River of Kanawha River and is located 0.75 miles southeast of Midway, in the Town District of Raleigh County, Longitude 81 f 13′ 42″ and Latitude 37 f 42′ 36″ (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map). Written comments and/or requests for an informal conference of the surface mining application shall identify the applicant and application number and will be received by the Permit Supervisor at the DEP address above until December 8, 2016, or thirty (30) days from date of final publication.
