OF EPA BROWNFIELD GRANT APPLICATION
By the City of Ronceverte
The Ronceverte Development Corp-oration is announcing plans to submit a 2017 Brownfields Cleanup grant application to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for cleanup of the former Bendix Building site located along South Edgar Avenue, between Chestnut Street and Pine Street, in Ronceverte, WV.  Brownfields are properties that may be abandoned, idle, and/or underutilized that are not being redeveloped due to the presence or potential presence of a hazardous substance.
This application will request EPA funds to assist with cleanup of known surface and sub-surface contamination at specified locations on the site.  The EPA encourages public participation in this application process to ensure community awareness, and that community needs are being considered related to property redevelopment.
