Demolition of Structure at
304 Thomas Street

Sealed bids will be received by the City of Lewisburg at City Hall, 942 Washington Street West, Lewisburg, West Virginia 24901 until 2:30 p.m., March 10, 2017.
The bid price shall include the cost for furnishing labor, materials and per-forming all the work to include the demolition of structure at 304 Thomas Street, and regrading and seeding of the lot at 304 Thomas Street, Lewisburg, West Virginia. All material will be hauled from the site. The City of Lewisburg will be responsible for the testing for asbestos and have removed if present. All demolition permit fees and B&O Tax are waved. All utilities disconnections are the responsibility of the contractor.  All work will be per-formed in accordance with the City of Lewisburg Ordinance 1375.02 (Requirements for Permits) and Chapter 33 of the IBC (Safeguards During Construction). The contractor shall be required to obtain a surety bond in the amount of the bid.
Specifications and details will be available at a Pre-bid conference to be held at the project site at 304 Thomas Street, Lewisburg, West Virginia on Friday, February 24, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. or may be picked up at City Hall. The purpose of this pre-bid meeting is to discuss the project and tour the facility to outline the proposed demolition to take place.
Construction time limit is 60 working days from date of contract.  There will be a penalty of $100.00 per day beyond that for every day that construction is not complete.
Each bid must be submitted in a separate sealed envelope.
All bidding documents shall be sub-mitted in a single envelope addressed to the Owner marked with the following information in the lower left hand corner:
“Name and address of bidder”

No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the time of the opening of the bids.  Any contractor submitting a bid on this property hereby certifies, indicates and acknowledges that he/she has a valid WV Contractor’s license, a City of Lewisburg business license and meets the qualifications required by the statutes of the State and subdivision in which the work is to be performed.  The City of Lewisburg reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
