REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
The Greenbrier County Board of Education will receive sealed proposals from interested entities and individuals to acquire or purchase the former site of Rupert Elementary School located at 253 Church Street, Rupert, WV.
Proposals will be received at the Greenbrier County Board of Education, Attn. David McClure, 197 Chestnut Street Lewisburg, WV 24901 until 1:00 p.m. on March 31, 2019. Proposals may be mailed via U.S. Postal Service, delivered via courier, or hand-delivered.
It shall be the submitting party’s responsibility to ensure that proposals arrive in the Board’s office prior to the scheduled opening. Late submissions will not be accepted and will remain unopened. All proposals must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the submitting party and clearly marked as follows:

The real property and building will be sold As Is. The property includes a total of approximately 5.1 acres of real property, as well as what will be a former elementary school building (Parcel Numbers 15-5-48, 15-5-50, 15-5-51, and 15-5-52). The Board will consider proposals by private, non-profit, tax-exempt organizations which intend to use the site for charitable, economic development or other community uses. Any interested party that is a private, non-profit, tax-exempt organization should provide with its proposal evidence of its non-profit and tax-exempt status as well as the intended use of the property. The Board will also consider proposals by all other individuals and entities, and such interested parties need not provide an intended use for the property.
The Board reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any irregularities or informalities in proposals received. It reserves the right to accept the proposal that will in its judgment, best serve its interests. If the Board determines it to be necessary to hold a public auction for the property, and the Board reserves the right to reject all submitted proposals and hold a public auction.
