QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ)
FOR DESIGN OF ICE RINK AND REFRIGERATION PIPING REPLACEMENT AND PERIMETER CONCRETE FLOOR REPLACEMENT AT THE WHEELING PARK ICE RINK IN WHEELING, WV.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the WHEELING PARK COMMMISION, hereinafter referred to as the OWNER, will be accepting Request for Qualifications until 2:00 PM on May 31, 2019, from architectural and engineering firms to provide professional services for design, plans, specifications, development of contract bidding documents, oversight of the bidding process, construction administration and observation, for the removal of the existing 85′ by 200′ concrete rink, associated chilled brine piping, dasher boards, team boxes, and perimeter concrete around the rink and the subsequent installation of a new chilled brine piping system with concrete pad, dasher boards, team boxes, etc. including the placement of new perimeter concrete at the Wheeling Park Ice Rink. The new pad refrigeration piping system will be tied into existing brine piping mains. The existing chillers will remain.
Request of qualifications should be submitted to Mr. Curt Byrum, Director of Projects for the Wheeling Park Commission, 465 Lodge Drive, Wheeling, West Virginia 26003.
All proposals must be received by the OWNER no later than 2:00 PM on Friday, May 31, 2019 . One (1) original and two (2) copies of the proposal (3 total) must be submitted in a sealed opaque envelope addressed as follows:

The Owner will review submissions and schedule follow up on site interviews with the design teams submitting RFQ’s. Please note it is the intent of the Owner to choose a designer and award a contract in such time to allow for construction bidding no later than early November of 2019 with construction award in December and construction beginning in March of 2020.
