Bid Solicitation The City of Dunbar will be accepting bids for the removal of asbestos containing construction material. A detailed analysis of the structure has been performed and the results can be viewed on the internet at; cityofdunbarwv.gov (on the Building Inspector page) or you may request a copy by email, fax or USPS from the Building Inspector at 304-766-0217. The structure is located at 215 West Virginia Avenue, Dunbar, WV 25064 (aka LT 142 PT LT 143, DISTRICT 26, MAP 14, PARCEL 0060 0001 0000). The structure is a condemned two story dwelling that is slated for demolition. Interested parties must provide the following information included in their bid package: WV Contractor License. General Liability Insurance Policy $1,000,000.00 minimum. A copy of their current asbestos inspection / remediation license. The winning bidder will be required to obtain a Dunbar Contractor License. The demolition permit will be issued at no charge, but is required prior to commencing work. The winner bidder will also be required to submit a “Proof of Disposal” letter within 5 days of completion of the project. Bids must be received in the City Clerk’s office not later than 4:00 p.m. March 13, 2020. Submit all bids in a sealed envelope labeled “215 West Virginia Ave.” Submit all bids to: Dunbar City Clerk 210 12th Street Dunbar, WV 25064 Bids may be mailed or hand delivered. Late bids will not be considered. The City of Dunbar reserves the right to reject any and all bids at their discretion.
