CHANGE, Inc., intends to apply to the United States Department of Agriculture, Rural Housing Services (RHS) for grant funds to aid in the preservation of homes occupied by the very-low or low income homeowners in Hancock, Brooke, Ohio and Marshall Counties.
RHS Housing Preservation funds will be for needed and critical repairs. The application will seek up to $50,000 to address these property needs and maintain the housing stock in rural Hancock, Brooke, Ohio and Marshal Counties.
The USDA Rural Housing Services requires CHANGE, Inc. to provide the public with an opportunity for comments on the proposed project to assure that the proposed Housing Preservation Grant program is beneficial and does not duplicate current activities and to make available for public review the Statement of Activities, which outlines the planned proposed program to be submitted to the RHS for consideration for funding. CHANGE, Inc. Housing Preservation Statement of Activities is available and may be reviewed at CHANGE, Inc., 3158 West St. Weirton, WV 26062, during the normal business hours of 8 -4 Monday thru Friday.
A fifteen (15) day comment period is required to allow for public review of the proposed program. Comments may be submitted prior to April 23, 2020 thru May 7, 2020 during normal business hours of 8- 4.
