NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS
To maintain necessary clearances for safe and reliable electric service, Appalachian Power Company plans to manage vegetation along the Turner-St. Albans #3 portion of its 12 kilovolt distribution system in Kanawha County, WV. On or about May 4th, 2020 contract crews will begin to trim and remove trees and brush and apply herbicides along our rights-of-way. Work will be done in accordance with International Society of Arboriculture guidelines and take into account factors such as tree species, growth characteristics, line voltage, etc. In unmaintained or undeveloped areas cuttings will remain on site so as to minimize soil disturbance and to promote biodegradation.
Rights-of-way in this area involved in the program are: Hughes St., Wildwood Cir., Sweet Acres Dr., Lotus Rd., Parson St., Poplar Dr., Ben Rd., Old Point Rd., Sunset Dr., Lexington Dr., S. Walnut St., Summit Dr., Sand Hill Dr., Valley Pike Dr., Vine St., Hudson St., Wilson St., Sycamore St., Kanawha Terrace, Berkeley Ave., MacCorkle Ave., Washington Ave., Lincoln Ave., Wilson Ave., Adams Ave., McKinley Ave., Grant Ave., Harrison Ave., Briarwood Rd., Ravens Ct., Saunders St., Chestnut St., Walnut St., Claremont Ave., Richmond St., Spruce St., Oak St., Alameda St., Furlong Ave., Carroll St., Hudson St., Observatory Dr., Greenbrier St., Myers St., Pfaff St., Roosevelt Ave., Knox Ave., Forrestal Ave., Bard Ave., Madison Ave., Morrell Ave., and Cunningham Ln.
Representatives will attempt to personally contact resident property owners at least seven business days prior to working on their property.
